We are deeply saddened to learn of the death Mr John Gibbons who died yesterday. He was the beloved father of Fr Richard Gibbons who is the parish priest of Our Lady’s Shrine at Knock in the West of Ireland, the birthplace of the Catholic Grandparents Association. We extend our deepest sympathy to Fr Richard, his mother and all the family and assure him of our prayers. John will be specially remembered at our Sixth Grandparents Pilgrimage at Knock on 9th September this year.

CGA’s Island Pilgrimage

We are delighted to have been asked to have a Grandparents Pilgrimage on Our Lady’s Island in Co. Wexford this year. This will be another first for the CGA and we invite everyone to join us for this special celebration of Our Lady and her parents St.Joachim and St Anne the Grandparents of Jesus

The day will start with Mass at 1pm…break for tea ….Rosary and blessing of the sick at 2.45pm and ending with Benediction at around 4pm
