We are deeply saddened to learn of the death Mr John Gibbons who died yesterday. He was the beloved father of  Fr Richard Gibbons who is the parish priest of Our Lady’s Shrine at Knock in the West of Ireland, the birthplace of the Catholic Grandparents Association. We extend our deepest sympathy to Fr Richard, his mother and all the family and assure him of our prayers. John will be specially remembered at our Sixth Grandparents Pilgrimage at Knock on 9th September this year.

Maire, our president, met Susan Boyle in Dublin recently and Susan,who is a great friend of the CGA, sends her very best wishes to everyone and the message is  ” Keep up the good work and God bless you all.”

We are delighted to have been asked to have a Grandparents Pilgrimage on Our Lady’s Island in Co. Wexford this year.
